Moving to a new place but not ready to pull the trigger on new furniture from a furniture store? Feather lets you try out furniture before buying it. The NYC-based furniture rental company has a decidedly hip focus with pieces you’d actually want to own if you weren’t renting from them. Think more exposed brass, hairpin legs and gas pipe as opposed to the more classic wood on wood on wood that you’re probably envisioning when you hear furniture rental. Feather has three separate price tiers (standard, hip, premium), with options for every room in your house, and modest delivery and pickup fees ($99ish). If you’re comfortable with the increased cost associated with leasing your furniture, the only real issue with the service is that it’s only in New York City and San Francisco right now. We’re already redecorating the office in our heads.
