We’ve talked about industrial pipe shelving before, but it still continues to intrigue us. Repurposing home building materials (or anything at Home Depot, really) for use as design centerpieces is something most men consider themselves to be adept at, but there’s a line. We know we could take a trip to the local hardware emporium and pick up everything we need to build these shelves ourselves, but we’re probably not going to. Once you get done figuring out the precise lengths, the pieces required, the tools necessary and going to five different stores (you know they’re going to be out of the one corner piece you need) you actually have to put the damned things together. All of these things require time that we really don’t have. We’d much rather just buy the pieces from Eclectic Interiors, bust out the level and the DeWalt, mount it and open the beer. Call it laziness if you want, but we look at it as quality time spent doing other things.
