Right around the time many of you reading this–and the one writing it–graduated high school, Yeah Yeah Yeahs blew the fuck up with their hit single “Maps.” It was all over MTV, and VH1 and Fuse and whatever ancient television networks existed back then before you could just watch music videos on YouTube. Even writing this post about their new album Mosquito means we’re going to have “Maps” stuck in our hea-ea-ea-ea-ea-ds for the rest of the week. But that’s not the point. Karen O and company are back with a new album. If it’s excellence is in any way proportional to the absurdity of the cover it’s going to be one of our favorite albums of 2013.
