At some point in time you’re going to see the new Bond movie Skyfall… if you haven’t already. Rather than waiting for the Thanksgiving or Christmas marathon that runs every year on TBS in low def, you might as well pick it up on Blu-ray and enjoy it for the hi def masterpiece that it is. If you need more convincing, here are a few things you should know about the latest iteration in the longest running film franchise in history–without spoilers because we’re not dicks. Daniel Craig’s excellence as Bond is only matched by Javier Bardem’s super villain Silva. Skyfall is only the second Bond movie where Bond, James Bond sports a beard; the other was Brosnan in Die Another Day. This is the first time that Q is younger than Bond. This is only the second time that Bond has ever gotten shot. It’s also the first Bond to be shot in China. It’s a slightly new way of doing business, but the primary operator for Universal Imports is still going strong.
