William H. Macy has played every role from President to Vice Principal to police officer to dinosaur chaser, but it isn’t until he steps into the role of dad as Frank Gallagher on the show Shameless that his true brilliance shines through. Somehow, Macy believably becomes a belligerent drunk and pot head capable of some of the most ridiculous shit that’s ever appeared on television. Stealing babies and banging his son’s girlfriend are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Macy’s antics. And then he also has a whole family just as messed up as he is.
