Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Official Teaser Trailer

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Official Teaser Trailer

San Diego Comic-Con 2022, this year’s edition of the annual comic book convention, has delivered a slate of new information, announcements, and trailers from some of the biggest studios. As was expected, Marvel released details about their highly anticipated series of upcoming movies but perhaps the highlight of their SDCC presentation was the unveiling of the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever official teaser trailer. No plot points were revealed in the stunning, evocative trailer though there were confirmations of returning characters–Shuri (Letitia Wright), Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o), and others–plus introductions of some new ones–Namor (Tenoch Huerta) and Ironheart (Dominique Thorn).

Ryan Coogler returns to direct the Black Panther sequel and the Afro-futurism style of the first is just as impressive in the upcoming Marvel movie. After actor Chadwick Boseman’s death, it was unclear how Marvel would move forward with the character of T’Challa, a.k.a. Black Panther, but Marvel confirmed the character wouldn’t be recast. Instead, it’s likely another character will take over the mantle as the film alludes to the death of T’Challa in the context of the MCU.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is expected to hit theaters on November 11, 2022.
