IKEA furniture has always been prized for its simplicity. Now, the king of hex key assembly is adding some clever tech to their basic home goods. The Swedish furniture giant will be releasing a line of items—nightstands, desks, and lamps—with embedded Qi technology to wirelessly charge your smartphone. Of course you’ll need a smartphone with Qi technology as well, but for the devices that don’t have it—namely, iPhones—there will be special cases coming soon. You’ll have a cleaner looking home without being tethered to outlets when you’re phone battery is dying. The line of pieces should hit IKEA stores in April with pricing being announced shortly.
