Wallets. Pens. Watches. Knives. Caches. Flashlights. Lighters. Multi-tools. Bags. We could go on and on about the things that are part of the average everyday carry, but the specific items always vary from one guy to the next. The general trend is to keep going smaller and smaller, which is why we’re such big fans of the Microblade Pill. This tiny capsule that’s currently up on Kickstarter houses a small 35° cutting angle blade that’s sharp enough to cut paper while still being safe enough to run over your finger (but don’t do that!). It opens packages. It peels off stickers. It cuts loose threads. It scratches lottery tickets. It cuts pills in half. In other words, it takes care of all those small everyday tasks you’d otherwise do whatever blade or screwdriver happened to be within arm’s reach–except this is tiny enough to fit on your keys, a belt loop or even use as a zipper pull. The Microblade Pill Kickstarter campaign ends in about a month with estimated reward delivery in November of this year.
