We could talk about the fact that these Pelican Elite Marine Coolers have 7-10 ice retention properties, freezer-grade gaskets, 2″ polyurethane insulation, a dual handle system, bear-proof latches, sloped drain, tethered plug and come in 35, 45,  65 and 95 quart sizes because those things are all fantastic, but they’re not what we’re most excited about. These coolers have molded-in lock hasps. That could, in theory, help prevent bears from getting to whatever it is you keep in a two-hundred dollar plus insulated picnic basket, but it will most certainly prevent all of your friends from stealing your beer or your catch while you’re sleeping.
