Cook in an Ammo Box with the C4 Portable Grill

Cook in an Ammo Box with the C4 Portable Grill

Making dinner in an ammo can isn’t an experience most people have had, as it’s generally something that’s reserved for soldiers making stew on the front lines. Cooking in a metal box makes sense from a practical standpoint, so M Grills built a portable grill inspired by those repurposed stew pots. The C4 is built to take some abuse, much like its inspiration, and is made of 12 gauge steel with 304 stainless steel handle and hinge. That means you won’t have to deal with rust on wetter camping trips and dropping it will only add character. One of the perks of making it a box is being able to close it and save charcoal or wood and we’re a little ashamed to say that didn’t occur to us right away. But thinking about it now, it’s definitely a big selling point. Think about all the fires you had to stay up with and let burn, instead of just shutting and starting up in the morning. Now think about grilling on those fires.
