Most of the major menswear brands have teamed up with New Balance for an exclusive release of custom 997s. J.Crew did a Cortado sneaker based on the popular espresso drink and the Moonshot sneaker inspired by Apollo 11 which were great, but we’re currently most inspired by the Todd Snyder x New Balance “Love” 997 sneakers that were created for Pride month. To make this particularly colorful sneaker with its palette featuring white peach, cedar quartz, and copper rose, Todd Snyder asked the Lesbian & Gay Big Apple Corps “Why Do You March?” Snyder himself said ,”I couldn’t be more pleased to release the LOVE 997 into the world. This is one of my all-time favorite New Balance silhouettes, but a totally new variation redesigned with strikingly fresh colors.” There’s no doubt that the combination of of suede, perforated leather, rainbow embroidery and Made in the USA construction–especially with this colorway–make this a worthwhile sneaker.
