These New Balance Sneakers are Inspired by the Moon Landing

July 20th of this year marks the 47th anniversary of the historic Apollo 11 mission, and J.Crew is commemorating it with a special Moonshot edition of the New Balance 997 sneaker. Decked out in off-white and blue suede with pops of white leather, blue leather and mesh, this 997 collaboration exudes aspects of the moon landing like the surface of the moon and the vacuum of space. They’re even packed like your favorite space snacks with a vacuum-sealed foil packaging and “space treats” if you purchase the sneaker in store.
