Inspired by the espresso drink Cortado (aka “gibraltar,” “café noisette,” “cortadito” and “piccolo latte”) that combines equal parts espresso and warm milk, the latest J.Crew x New Balance collaboration combines those tonal colors into a new sneaker. The extremely limited J.Crew x New Balance 997 Cortado silhouette combines whites, grays and browns in a premium suede and mesh upper filled with contrasting accents that sits atop an ENCAP midsole in white and a light brown outsole. The iconic throwback is produced in New Balance’s Skowhegan, Maine, factory and will be available March 25 online and in-store. If you want to pick up your J.Crew x New Balance 997 Cortado sneakers in person from one of the select J.Crew stores that will have them, you can also get a free bag of Counter Culture Coffee for J.Crew medium roast if you’re one of the first people there.
