We’ve seen quite a few cool pieces of Star Wars memorabilia and collaborative tie-ins over the years. Short of a functional light saber, fully operational Millennium Falcon or actual light speed, this jacket may be the coolest thing to come out of the Star Wars universe that you can actually use in the real world. Propstore is auctioning off the actual jacket Harrison Ford wore while playing Han Solo in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. Designed by Academy Award-winning costume designer John Mollo and produced by Caledonian Costumes, this cotten-woolen blend jacket features a mandarin collar, more pockets than you’ll ever use and a polyester satin lining. It’s also deliberately devoid of buttons or fasteners so it doesn’t seem like real world clothing and is blue-grey in color so that it appeared blue in the film. Everyone’s favorite smuggler’s jacket of choice is the only significant Han Solo costume piece from the original trilogy to ever go to public auction. It’s expected to bring between £500,000 and £1,000,000 when it gets auctioned in September, which should really come as no surprise given all the things that make it collectible.
