There are a lot of media formats that have gone the way of the eight track. Most people are completely content streaming all their content directly to their eyeballs with Netflix / Amazon Prime / Hulu / *insert next awesome streaming service here,* but there’s still something to be said for actually “popping in a movie” and sitting back to enjoy the show. Thankfully, the new trend is to put Blu-Ray, DVD and UltraViolet digital copies together so you only have to spend $25 one time to watch a movie. And now, End of Watch. David Ayer knows a thing or two about a thing or two when it comes to gritty LA police stories. The Training Day, Dark Blue and Street Kings writer enlisted Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena for his newest flick, End of Watch. The documentary-style film follows the two partners in a “day in the life” style that makes it a wild ride (pun intended).
