We’ll make no secret of the fact that we love Banksy. Maybe it’s the anonymity, or the constant modification of dilapidated, sometimes decrepit buildings into works of art, but the final product is always awesome. At the end of the day – even with the underlying message each piece has – Banksy’s work is just fun. Exit Through The Gift Shop is Banksy’s documentary about amateur documentarian Thierry Guetta. What started as Guetta’s quest to document street art (including Banksy of course) ultimately got his life flipped-turned upside down by the masked artistic vigilante known as Banksy. In a strange twist, the movie that’s a sardonic criticism of the art world as a whole ended up winning a bunch of awards it derided. For $15, it’s worth it just to see all the art in one place and hear Banksy’s robotic voice changer.
