The James Brand Is Back With an Upgraded Ellis Multifunction Knife

Whether you’re talking about their knives, everyday carry gear, or collaborative pieces, every single thing that bears The James Brand name is built-to-last, incredibly useful and purposefully designed. While we love their Redstone Outdoor Knife, Midland Titanium Key Hook, and TJB x Topo Designs Utility Capsule, the Ellis Multifunction Knife remains a perennial favorite of ours because it pairs all the usual The James Brand features with a bit of Swiss Army functionality in the form of a second deployable blade.

The original featured a smooth, clean handle that housed a serrated, drop-point blade and a combination bottle opener, screwdriver, prybar, and scraper.  It was a great multi-function knife, but that didn’t stop The James Brand from improving on it for this latest version. The new Ellis eschews the secondary tool blade for the brand’s first pair of scissors–along with upgrading the construction to a slip-joint design and adding a deep-carry wire clip and the brand’s “All-Things” scraper, flat-head screwdriver, and pry tool. In other words, all the existing blade features are now in the hilt of the knife, and now you also get a pair of scissors. This might be the sharpest knife out there.
