In case the pictures weren’t already indication enough, this watch is unlike everything else you’ll ever strap on your wrist. The “Birdie” Surf Watch, as it’s affectionately called because it features the Birdwell Beach Britches iconic character front and center, is a collaboration between the iconic board shorts manufacturer and another cool Southern California brand, Weiss Watches. Don’t let the playful nature of the watch with the functional hands and endless wave seconds timer fool you—this is a serious watch. The watch is built with a stainless case, sapphire crystals on front and back, and powered by an in-house Weiss CAL 1003 movement machined from solid stainless. When it becomes available later this spring, the watch will be available in a red or white option, each limited to 10 pieces and set on a striped NATO strap. If you’re into Birdwell, Weiss or surf culture in general, this is the water resistant watch (up to 330 feet!) you’ll want to be wearing this summer.
