We’ve covered quite a few great Kickstarter pens over the years, many of them made out of titanium and more than a few featuring a bolt action mechanism. As the name implies, the Titaner Bolt Pen includes both of those features (some of our favorites, by the way), but this sleek EDC pen does things a little differently. For starters, the bolt action mechanism is at the tip of the pen rather than the back, and you twist lock the entire tip as opposed to the bolt itself. This deliberate design decision is due to the fact that the “bolt” is welded to the body to prevent the mechanism from coming loose and also allows one handed operation to deploy the tip. In addition to the unique mechanism, it features colored o-rings for a more comfortable writing experience, a tungsten glass breaker tip on the rear, a clip that doubles as a screwdriver if you’re using different sized refills and a hidden “mini pin” that’s useful for removing SIM cards or pushing reset buttons on the go. Unlike some of the other grade 5 titanium pens on the market, Titaner made sure both the internal and external designs all led to a pen with great weight distribution, which makes it easy to write and fidget with.
