Ural has been producing some of the most beloved heavy sidecar motorcycles since the WWII era. The bikes have changed quite a lot over the years, but they’re still what Jay Leno describes as “the perfect mix of modern and retro.” The new 2018 Ural Gear Up motorcycle leaves us inclined to agree. Just shy of 750cc of engine gives you powerful low end torque and a comfortable cruising speed between 65 and 75mph, which, all things considered, is a sweet spot for long trips down the road or the trail. While you will lose some maneuverability with the addition of the sidecar and the third wheel, this is still a more than fitting survival bike for the apocalypse thanks to increased stability and gear space. This particular iteration of the bike is awesome enough as is, but it gets even better because Ural teamed up with the American Motorcycle Association and Motorcycle Hall of Fame to give away the bike to one lucky U.S. resident. Enter to win the raffle with a $5 donation to the Motorcycle Hall of Fame.
