Belgian bike builder and enthusiast, Fred Krugger, was recently tasked with reimagining the Ducati XDiavel cruiser for The 2017 Bikers’ Classic, a motorcycle celebration that took place this past weekend. Thiverval, which takes its name from a race track near Paris, is a hulking, black and steel beast that stays true to the Ducati ideal while also fitting squarely in Krugger’s portfolio. Opting to leave the engine exposed, Krugger made the power source the focal point of his Ducati. A mix of gloss, matte finishes, and chrome make up the bulk of the ride, making it look like it was plucked from the screen during a showing of Sin City. The taillight stands out against the rest of the build, as the glowing trapezoid feels wholly futuristic. Whether this bike has a future after the conclusion of the show remains to be seen.
