Outside of the styling, this Toyota FJ45 Land Cruiser Pickup is so clean it could be rolling off the lot today. In reality, this a restoration of a truck that’s more than fifty years old. Rather than fully restoring it based on original specs, the techs at Arlington Toyota in Illinois focused on making the truck more usable and safer on the road. The engine was upgraded from the F135 to the 2F. The three-speed column shift manual was ditched in favor of a floor shift four-speed. The mechanical shift transfer case was replaced with a vacuum shift. They also did the brakes, replaced the radiator, rebuilt the cylinder head, powder coated the frame, redid the upholstery and repainted the entire rig in a light tan. The truck is up for auction Friday, January 20 in Arizona.
