It was 2004 when the Donkervoort GTO-RS set a lap record at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, and such things get you noticed in the automotive world. Now, some 12 years later, we’re getting a completely redesigned GTO-RS, which is billed as being meaner, more extreme, and slightly larger in size. We can tell you this: It sure looks the part. Lots of tinkering helped deliver better acceleration power with improved comfort, and a new suspension offers better grip on the front axle. And while all the modifications make this Donkervoort a beast on the track, it remains a completely street-legal sports car. If you’ve got the cash, you can snag one of the 40 being released at the end of the summer.
