Even though our collection of Kickstarter pens has grown to the point of almost being unmanageable, we still use Sharpies quite a bit. Yes, they bleed through our pocket notebooks, explode in the wash and have a plastic housing and cap prone to breakage, but it’s to argue about the utility of a marker that writes on just about anything. Bobby Davis has an upgrade for the Sharpie refill that elevates it from simple writing implement to full blown EDC tool. The Tactical Marker is machined from tough 7075 alloy and designed to hold a standard Sharpie refill. The deep knurling and o-rings make it easy to grip even in inclement weather and also protect the tool from getting ruined. Three easily changeable tool tips (Tapper, Hammer, and Spike) screw onto the end opposite the cap for tapping, spiking or hammering. There’s also a leather strap on the cap to prevent you from losing it. In other words, Bobby improved on something we thought was already perfect.
