Starting in 2006, classically trained artist Joe Forkan began a series of work that combines the masterpieces of western art with The Big Lebowski. Using the film as a starting point, each piece represents a scene that the artist recreates using narratives, themes and titles from well-known works of western art (Caravaggio, Friedrich, Carracci, Velazquez, the list goes on). Check out more images on Forkan’s site, and buy prints here.
