Herman Miller, renowned for its innovation in design and furniture, is taking us on a journey back in time with their latest release. Revisiting the graphic treasures of the ’70s and ’80s, the company has resurrected a selection of posters that celebrate its rich heritage in design. This season’s lineup features five distinct designs, each telling a unique story of Herman Miller’s past.
First up, we have the “Ideas Poster,” a homage to Herman Miller’s thought leadership magazine, Ideas, which ran from 1978 to 1982. Designed by Linda Powell, this poster captures the essence of the publication’s focus on the rapid growth and evolution of organizations, presented through a vibrant graphic chart layered over bold variegated colors.
Another highlight is “Action Office 2 Poster” by John Massey. Massey’s design, born in 1978, reflects the spirit of idealism and playfulness that defined his tenure at Herman Miller. This poster stands as a testament to Massey’s contribution to the company’s visual language and branding.
The posters have been printed on 100% cotton paper and are available for purchase on their own or can be framed in three maple finishes.
