The Farer Thurso AquaMatic is a Sub-$1,000 Watch We Love

If Steve Zissou were to own a watch in 2022, it’d be this one. The Farer Thurso shows how a watch company can continue to evolve their looks while not straying too far from principle aesthetics of the brand.

The AquaMatic does this seamlessly, offering a beautiful update to the classic dive watch. First, you have the option to get this model with a teal or orange NATO band, giving you vibrant visuals on a classic timepiece silhouette. From there, it’s all a beautiful blend of form and function for the AquaMatic, including the anodized teal aluminum body, a screw-in steel crown to offer protection across the face of the watch, and the Art Deco-esque watch face in bold dot and dash markers infilled with mint Super-LumiNova.

One would be remiss to remember this is a performance timepiece as well, offering a 200m/656ft depth rating for whenever the seafaring mood may strike you (or if you’re off to seek revenge on the enigmatic jaguar shark).
