DuFrane Watches is based in Austin, Texas, and founded in 2016 by a long-time watch collector turned microbrand owner. This is the brand’s second release, and the first to offer an automatic mechanical movement. The Barton Springs 656 is a durable and functional diver’s watch, named after local Austin swimming landmark, Barton Springs. The 656 feet depth rated 316L stainless steel case is finished in brushed with polished chamfers. At 42mm wide, it’s the perfect size for most wrists. DuFrane reserved 40 watches specifically for Cool Material at $100 off the retail price of $656. Don’t let the affordable price tag fool you, this is an incredibly advanced watch. The domed sapphire crystal protects the generously applied C3 Super-LumiNova markers for extreme readability day or night. Inside beats a highly accurate Swiss Sellita SW200-1 movement with hacking functionality. Each Barton Springs 656 can be ordered with Blue or Black sunburst dials, with or without the date complication, and with your choice of an additional silicone strap.
