‘Doctor Sleep’ Official Teaser Trailer

‘Doctor Sleep’ Official Teaser Trailer

We have no problem admitting that we can’t look at twin girls or brown and orange hexagonal carpet without getting a little bit creeped out. This is, of course, due to their presence in one of the best horror movies of all time, The Shining. In 2013, Stephen King revisited the events of the Overlook Hotel in the sequel Doctor Sleep. 39 years to the day after Kubrick’s vision of the film hit theaters, the trailer for the sequel dropped. Doctor Sleep follows a now adult Danny Torrance played by Ewan McGregor as he battles “a semi-immortal leader of a tribe of quasi-demonic murderers known as the ‘True Knot’.” In case there was any doubt, this film is going to be pure nightmare fuel in the best possible way. What might be even better than that is the fact that writer / director Mike Flanagan has said it’s an adaptation of King’s novel that also takes place in the same universe as Kubrick’s film and homage will be paid to both. And you know it’s going to be good when Stephen King himself is excited about it. Doctor Sleep hits theaters on November 8.
