We’re not going to be the first publication that admits that the entire zombie genre as a whole is played out, but it basically lead to the death of the AMC network as a whole. Zombieland gets a pass because the movie franchise is completely hilarious–even without Bill Murrary, but that’s a positive. The sequel is finally here, and if the Zombieland: Double Tap trailer you see here is any indication, it’s going to be even better than the original. Why? Because there’s just something about watching Woody Harrelson sitting behind the Resolute Desk pretending to be president with a bandolier of ammo across of his chest and a cigar in one hand that gives us hope for the country… even if that leads to him dressed up as Santa Clause and/or throwing a dodgeball across the most sacred office in the land. Something about Emma Stone with a grenade launcher. Something about look-a-like characters with alternative agendas. Something about, well, the entire plot of an all new movie, that gets us excited. Zombieland: Double Tap hits theaters October 18th.
