If you’re unfamiliar, Penny Arcade is a comic about video games and video game culture that often takes a little breather so the creators can showcase something else they’ve been working on. One of those other things was Automata, a story about a human detective and his robotic sidekick set in a version of the early 1900s. The guys behind Penny Arcade took the idea to Kickstarter to help gain funding for a series based off the short. This is that series—or at least an intro to it. If you weren’t one of the backers, info on how you can watch the series is coming soon, and we thinks this trailer will make you inclined to seek out that info.
