Timepiece purists are having a hard time jumping on the smartwatch bandwagon. The style, story, and sophistication of a fine watch hasn’t exactly been replicated by tech companies. So what does a watchmaker like Montblanc do for watch lovers who still want some digital connectivity? They make the Timewalker Urban Speed E-Strap. By building the tech into a piece on the strap, you don’t have to worry about some sci-fi watch face to tell the time. The Bluetooth device will have a 0.9″ monochromatic OLED that can alert users to calls, texts, and notifications. It will also have the ability to act as a fitness tracker and control your phone’s music. The E-Strap will be available on some Timewalker Urban Speed watches or as a standalone band. Now you can have some smartwatch capabilities without losing the classic style of a nice timepiece.
