Sonos x Ikea Symfonisk Bookshelf Speaker

Sonos x Ikea Symfonisk Bookshelf Speaker

Just when you thought Ikea’s offerings largely amounted to assembly-required furniture designed to challenge you even when you’re sober, they’ve revealed a new product born from their partnership with audio product manufacturer Sonos in the form of the Symfonisk bookshelf speaker. Upon first glance, though it’s certainly handsome in its own right, it looks conventionally rectangular, albeit a bit longer than a typical small speaker. But turn it on its side, and it can act as a wall-mounted nightstand or shelf. In fact, the Symfonisk has already won a 2019 RED Dot award. Though material and capability details have yet to be revealed, preliminary photos reveal different shapes from rounded to straight edges, as well as a range of colors will be available. The Symfonisk will be officially unveiled on April 9th, and full specs and pricing are forthcoming. The best part? There’s nothing to put together.
