At this point, it should come as no surprise that device storage is almost exponentially increasing. It’s how hard drives and solid states have been since we invented digital storage. The latest increase comes in the form of SanDisk’s new SD card. The card doubles SanDisk’s largest offering of 200 GB, coming in at 400 GB. Using the card, you should be able to store 40 hours of full HD video as well as attain transfer speeds of up to 100 MB per second. The card has been classified as Application Performance Class 1, which means it’s a viable option for expanding whatever phone or tablet you put it in. There’s no release date as of right now, but we’ll speculate it will be available before the end of the year. You don’t make announcements like this and make the public wait months to get their hands on your product.
