With CES right around the corner, it’s that time of year when all sorts of new electronics start popping up on our radar. Samsung is kicking 2014 off with the announcement of the expanded Shape wireless audio system. Basically, if your goal for the year is to amp up the sound in your pad, it’s a worthy contender to Sonos. While more details will probably be released in Vegas, the system includes the M7 speaker (announced a couple of months back), some smaller speakers, and a Soundbar and a wireless subwoofer. The multi-room system is controlled by a free iOS or Android app and connects to Samsung TV’s with the Sound Connect feature via Bluetooth. If you’re throwing a party, it’s a far better option than that old boombox in the corner of the living room.
