Steve McQueen’s Persol Sunglasses

Steve McQueen’s Persol Sunglasses

We’ve seen plenty of auctions that allow those with deep pockets to bring a little Steve McQueen into their home. The issue has always been that these auctions are almost always for The King of Cool’s vehicles, which, unsurprisingly, go for serious cash. That’s not the case here, as a pair of McQueen’s Persol 714 folding sunglasses have hit the auction block and currently sit at $2,600. Sure, $2,000+ is a lot for a pair of sunglasses, but if you’re a mega fan of Bullitt, that’s a lot more reasonable than trying to buy the 1968 Ford Mustang GT in the film. The bad news? A pair of McQueen’s sunglasses sold for $70,000 in 2006, so we can’t say we’re anywhere near the final asking price. Still, if you’re a fan, this is a lot more realistic than buying one of his rides.
