Isotope Hydrium Blue Night

Isotope Hydrium Blue Night

This fresh and very modern take on the dive watch comes from London-based Isotope. The overall look of the watch is subdued with the minimalist matte black and blue dial and bezel and micro-blasted 40mm case. But the huge knurled crown and the nearly 15mm case thickness give this timepiece a tool watch physicality. Other important details include the elevated ‘lacrima’ shape on the dial, which is like nothing we’ve seen before. The blue hands contrast beautifully against the dial, as does the white minute track. The hands give off a blued hue at an angle while looking black straight on, a nifty aesthetic feature. The Hydrium Blue Night manages timekeeping duties with a Swiss Landeron 24 mechanical automatic with 40 hours of power reserve. It will get special Isotope finishing and a signed rotor. If you’re worried it’s not dive-ready, the 300-meter water depth rating should put your fears at ease. The watch is in pre-order phase right now.
