There’s something truly fun and whimsical about the Pebble Watch collection from the newly launched Danish brand Bulbul. The face is asymmetrical and actually, well, face-like… if that makes any sense. There are no numerals on the face. It’s powered by a Ronda quartz movement, but it has a decade long battery life. In other words, you can just forget about having to change the battery. It comes on a grey, brown or black Italian leather strap, but the strap loop is bright blue molded silicone. Each of the four final watches in the collection (blacked out, white on black leather, white on brown leather and greyed out) are decidedly minimal, but also striking. They’re fun watches that aren’t so progressive you can’t wear them at the nine to five.
