Hangover 2: The Wolf Pack Strikes Back

Unless you have been living under a rock or in space all year long, you probably saw The Hangover. Come to think of it, if you get the Internet under your rock or in your space station you should have seen it. In any event, the movie was the best comedy of 2009 (Transformers 2 doesn’t count) and it was arguably due to the three gentlemen you see above. Yeah, Mike Tyson, effeminate Asian gangsters, ruh-tards, and Heather Graham made it good. Zack Galifianakis, Ed Helms, and Bradley Cooper made it great with the help of director Todd Phillips (Road Trip / Old School).

Why does any of this matter? The movie has grossed over $450mil (For reference purposes, that’s more than the gross domestic product of the nation of Guinea) internationally since it’s release, and studio executives love huge returns on their investments (the movie had a budget of $35mil). With a return like that, the sequel wasn’t just a possibility, it was an inevitability. According to Screen Film and luckily for us, Phillips, Galifianakis, Helms, and Cooper have all signed on for the second installment.

Phillips has said he is halfway through writing the second script, but other than that no plot details are available. He did confirm that the second film will not use the same location as the first, but the only things missing from the first one were Spearmint Rhino and In N’ Out. So, where are they going next? Ibiza? New York? Sydney? Amsterdam? It doesn’t really matter because it will be filled with hilarity, celebrity cameos, 80’s music, and Galifianakis will probably go half ruh-tard again (but only cause you never go full ruh-tard, everyone knows that).
