After years of speculation, Ford finally revived one of favorite vehicles of all time when they pulled the curtain on the 2021 Ford Bronco. Yes, we really want one. Yes, we got on the pre-order list. Yes, we’d love to park one in the driveway. And yet, we can’t help but keep eyeing the excellent vintage restomods that come out Velocity Restorations. The Velocity Restorations 1978 Ford Bronco you see here is the perfect examples of what we’re talking about. Not only is it a pristine example of that retro 2+2 hardtop style with its split red / white paintjob, it has been completely rebuilt to absolutely embarrass other cars at the track. How is that possible with a truck that’s 40+ years old? Restore the bodywork, repaint it and then strap it to all new equipment including a 5.0-liter Coyota crate engine, Whipple 2.9L supercharger, VR custom headers, exhaust, Magnaflow mufflers and a 6R80 6-speed transmission. Put all of that together and you have the recipe for a gorgeous truck outputting 700+ horsepower.
