For decades, Ultima Sports Ltd of Hinckley, Leicestershire, England has been creating unique, iconic, high performance supercars for those discerning individuals with pocketbooks large enough to foot the bill. The Ultima GT-R was a good enough base to form one of the 8 coolest cars from the Gumball 3000, but the recently released Ultima RS supercar is an entirely different beast. The Ultima RS is light, capable, sophisticated, stylish and, as they describe it “the crowning glory of 35 years of successful Ultimate history and the finest expression of Ultima’s core DNA.” Group C Le Mans inspired lines. Extensive use of carbon fiber throughout. Sculpted everything from nose to spoiler. Available powerplants starting at the LT1 6.2-liter V8 with 480 horsepower all the way up to a tuned and supercharged LT outputting around 1,200 horsepower. When they said, “we’re confident the new ultima RS has the performance capability to wipe the floor with every road going supercar on the planet,” we weren’t quite sure how serious they were. After looking at the performance specs, we’re pretty sure they’re right.
