GMC just dropped a teaser video and image for the upcoming Hummer Electric Vehicle SUV. If the final production “super truck” looks anything like the image–and comes packed with the same kind of power and features they’re touting–it’s going to be one helluva vehicle. Despite the fact that it’s still shrouded in mystery and mostly blacked out, it has a classic, if not more streamlined, Hummer feel that we’ve come to like about the preview trucks. On the performance side, they’re reporting it will have 1,000 horsepower, 11,500 pound feet of torque and a blistering 0-60 time of 3 seconds. It’s also going to come with an open air infinity roof, modular sky panels, “adrenaline” and “crab” modes, super fast charging and ultra-vision cameras. We’re not quite sure what all of that means, but it sounds like we’ll be driving a rocketship with wheels. While it’s not quite the first ever fully electric Hummer like GMC claims–Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Electric Hummer H1 probably still holds that title–it’s no less impressive. The Hummer EV SUV will be fully unveiled later this year with production slated to begin in the fall of 2021.
