Give a man some tools, parts, and a healthy dose of imagination, and you get something like the Hamyak ATV. Built by Russian engineer Eduard Luzyanin, the Hamyak (Russian for hamster) is a mono-track motorcycle meant to take on just about any terrain. It utilizes a single snowmobile track driven by a 150cc gas engine mated to a driveshaft and chain combination. Although it has to manage turns by leaning (as opposed to rotating handlebars), it’s highly maneuverable and capable of speeds up to 27 mph (though 12.3 is recommended for smoothness). More of a micro-produced tiny recreational beast than a workhorse, the Hamyak probably won’t make its way stateside anytime soon. It’s just good to know that it exists.
