Whether you’re enjoying the luxury of the One-77, cruising in an old school DB4 or tearing it up in a Valkyrie, there’s just something about sitting behind the wheel of an Aston Martin that makes the pavement below you and the world around you fade away. Now, Aston Martin is making that experience a literal reality with their new Volante Vision Aircraft Concept. Produced in partnership with Cranfield Aerospace Solutions, Cranfield University and Rolls-Royce, this concept aircraft has VTOL (vertical take-off and landing) capabilities, an incredible design that’s decidedly Aston Martin and enough room for three adults in the cockpit. How far will it travel and at what altitude? How fast can it go? Do you need a pilot’s license to operate it? Can we just rent one for the hour? We’ll probably never get answers to any of those questions, because it’s unlikely the Volante Vision ever goes to production, but damn, it would be cool if it did.
