Irvine-based startup Alpha Motor Corporation is aiming to turn the entire electric vehicle market on its head with their upcoming ACE Electric Coupe. Built to fulfill their vision to “move humanity with pure electric vehicle innovations,” the ACE Electric Coupe is a rear-wheel drive beast with 250+ mile range, 0-60 mph time of 6 seconds, rapid charging, seating for two adults and 14 cubic feet of cargo storage. While it’s built with premium and performance materials throughout, it’s not putting up Tesla level numbers or built with similar features, but that’s to be expected since the price tag is a fraction of the cost as it’s estimated to start at just over thirty grand. With that said, and despite the fact it doesn’t have breakneck speed going for it, it’s still a sleek and stylish automobile that blends seemingly disparate European styles from VW, BMW, Porsche and even Trabant together to create an automobile that looks completely unlike anything you’ve seen on the market while still feeling familiar.
