2020 BMW M850i xDrive Gran Coupe

BMW has given the Gran Coupe designation to the 4-Series and the 6-Series, adding two doors and more space while retaining a sleek greenhouse with raked glass. Now, the 8-Series Coupe gets the same Gran Coupe treatment and will cost you six figures for Bavarian opulence and power. Under the hood is a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 with 523 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters and all-wheel drive. 0-60 comes in 3.7 seconds, and it also gets Active Steering for ideal handling and precision. The Gran Coupe is longer and wider than the Coupe, and it also has way more legroom in the back than its two-door counterpart and with the same level of luxury. There’s even a crystal shift knob for those who really want to show off. If the $108,900 asking price seems like a bit much, you can always opt for the 6-cylinder 840i or 840i xDrive for thousands less. The new 8-Series will go on sale this fall.
