If you’re looking to upgrade your fleet of personal vehicles with something more unique than anything off the lot, look no further than this 1980 Land Rover Series III 4×4 Station Wagon that Bonhams is auctioning off next month. If you’re unfamiliar with the Series III, it was inspired by the US Army Jeep like many other trucks of that era, and it remains one of the coolest vintage SUVs ever produced. This particular example is a low-mileage, ex-military 2.3-liter powered behemoth that’s been restored from the ground up with absolutely no expense spared (they took out all 800 rivets and fitted new stainless steel rivets) when it came to creating a ride you’d be happy to drive everyday—especially when it’s decked out in this pastel green exterior with tan cover. The 1980 Land Rover Series III 4×4 Station Wagon will roll across the block during Bonhams Goodwood Members’ Meeting on March 18. It’s expected to fetch somewhere in the neighborhood of $25,000–$31,000.
