What To Watch This Weekend: Marvel’s The Punisher

What To Watch This Weekend: Marvel’s The Punisher

With cable, Netflix, and internet options, finding the best thing to watch during your downtime is difficult. Instead of flipping through menus all weekend and settling on nothing, turn to What to Watch This Weekend, a series in which we give you our pick for the best new show or movie available.

We’ll preface this by saying the early reviews for Marvel’s The Punisher have been less than stellar. There’s lots of talk of it being too slow and poorly structured. That said, after seeing Jon Bernthal don the all black attire in the second season of Marvel’s Daredevil, we started jonesing for this release. This weekend, Frank Castle hits Netflix with all the anger and rage you could hope for, as The Punisher sets out to destroy a criminal underworld. We’re diving in regardless of pre-release chatter, and we’re hoping Netflix doesn’t take another L like they did with Marvel’s Iron Fist.
