What to Watch This Weekend: Cargo

What to Watch This Weekend: Cargo

With cable, Netflix, and internet options, finding the best thing to watch during your downtime is difficult. Instead of flipping through menus all weekend and settling on nothing, turn to What to Watch This Weekend, a series in which we give you our pick for the best new show or movie available.

The zombie genre is a bit tired, so if a new film wants to take up the evil dead torch, it better bring something fresh to the table. We expect Cargo to do just that. Martin Freeman (Sherlock) stars in the zombie apocalypse flick, which is actually based on a short film from half a decade ago that received much praise. Set in Australia during a zombie uprising, Andy (Martin Freeman) and Kay (Susie Porter) must keep their baby daughter from danger, until the pair have to split up and Andy is left to trudge the land with the infant on his back. The Netflix Original is available to stream now. Link
