With cable, Netflix, and internet options, finding the best thing to watch during your downtime is difficult. Instead of flipping through menus all weekend and settling on nothing, turn to What to Watch This Weekend, a series in which we give you our pick for the best new show or movie available.
Don’t hold The Dark Tower movie against Stephen King. If you’ve read the series you know, as is often the cliché, the book was better. In fact, 1922 should remind you that, when done right, a Stephen King show or movie can be fantastic (um, hello, do The Shining, The Shawshank Redemption, and Carrie ring a bell?). The new Netflix film based on King’s novella centers on a farmer living in 1920s Nebraska. When his wife inherits a large patch of land, she immediately wants to sell it to move to the big city (in this case, Omaha). Wilfred James, the farmer, wants no such thing and decides to murder his wife. It’s a riot! But seriously, check it out on Netflix this weekend. Link
